I have been doing yoga on and off for about 15 years. It wasn’t total love at first sight. I did a little bit here and there. I liked it, but didn’t love it right away. During the last five years my deep appreciation for my yoga practice grew stronger and stronger. I love how yoga shows me the way, on and off the mat. I have three boys (4 including my husband) and yoga keeps me sane. When I am challenged in my life as a parent, or any other life situation, I often remember a moment in yoga when I was challenged, and try to remember what helped me through it. “Find your center” and “Take a deep breath” are frequently used phrases in my family. I call my yoga practice my island and I would love to share the island feeling with anyone who wants to experience it. Yoga compliments my life beautifully and vice versa. I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2010, and have been hooked on teaching ever since.
