Todd Wilson

Originally from Austin, Texas, I have been living in Portland since 2003. I was introduced to yoga in 1994 and immediately knew it was for me. It was a calming transformative practice that helped to balance the more aggressive activities I was into like skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, and breakdancing. My first teachers were some of my snowboarding friends and BKS Iyengar's book "Light on Yoga." Feeling the mental and physical effects on both my health and clarity, I built a strong personal practice and started taking regular classes. In 2006 I traveled to Kerala, India and took the Sivananda International Teacher Training Course, making lifelong friends from around the world in the process. Consistently teaching since March of 2006, I took the Yoga Union Level II & III Teacher Training in 2011 taught by Annie Adamson. I followed that up in 2012 with a year long mentorship with Living Yoga and Daya Foundation founder Sarahjoy Marsh. Since then I have been blessed with the opportunity to study with some very gifted teachers like Sianna Sherman, Noah Maze, Julie Lawrence, and many others. Though I teach, I continue to be a student of yoga and of life.
