Hi! I started my yoga practice 15 years ago after a late diagnosis of scoliosis. Shortly after, I completed my first Yoga Teacher Training, with a main interest in alignment and the physical benefits. However in following years, as other health concerns started emerging, my focus shifted out of necessity. I came to rely on my practice for emotional and spiritual support, in addition to the physical. With my practice deepening, I decided to complete another 200 hour training when I moved to Portland from New York in 2021. Here I also found a community, which I can rely on as well. Yoga has given me so much, and I hope that I can pass on some of that gift. Through continued study of asana, yogic philosophy, meditation, and breathwork I have finally been able to feel at home in my body. My classes incorporate all of these elements with the aim that students also feel a "oneness" in body and mind. With a lighthearted approach to classes, I lead students through their own explorations of themselves using breath, movement, and contemplation as guides.
